We headed out to Kiawah Island Golf Resort, South Carolina to capture aerials for the Chubb Charity Challenge 2014. The day was perfect; 65 degrees F., blue sky, no clouds and low wind. Perfect environment for some great aerial cinematography.
All of the golfers were Chubb insurance agents, and once a year they come and play golf against each other. The winner will receive prize money, but as you can guess, most of the money goes towards charity.
Kiawah Island is a beautiful location right outside of Charleston, SC. Charleston is one of my favorite locations to shoot at. Beautiful beaches, adventurous marsh lands, what’s not to love? There’s plenty of epic footage to shoot from the air.
For the Chubb Charity Challenge, we flew the flat octocopter. We lifted the Panasonic GH4 while using the MoVi M5. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again… you want the best camera stabilizer, you gotta go with MoVi. And no, we’re not paid to say that.
While shooting all day at Kiawah, were got to see some nice wild life. Everything from white tail deer, down to a chilled alligator. You never know what you’re going to capture out in the field. This is what makes up half the fun!
